my memories: more than just digital scrapbooking {giveaway}

UPDATE: The winner of this giveaway is #12, Ann!

I’m a scrapbooker. When I started scrapbooking, 837 years ago, there was no such thing as digital scrapbooking. Technology hadn’t reached the paper crafting space yet.

I was never bitten by the digital scrapbooking bug, honestly. And its no wonder. I spend most waking moments on my computer working with digital art and it just wouldn’t be an enjoyable, relaxing, stress-reducing passtime for me. So I remain a traditionalist.

A few weeks ago I was approached by My Memories Suite, the makers of a digital scrapbooking software. At first I brushed it off and thought, “No, its just not for me…or my readers.”

But as I dug a little deeper I discovered two things:

1.  There are a ton of included graphics that come with the program

and then I read this in the terms of use… ”

2. YOU MAY use graphics to customize your own personal blog or website as long as credit notice is given to the designer

(Now you’re talking my language)

I like some of the simpler patterns and elements like this…

and these embellishments…

Along with the graphics you get with the software download for $39.97, you’ll gain access to thousands more through design kits like this one…

People are always asking me where to get graphics for their blog. And I think this is a good resource to add to the list. The designer packs are a good value, priced anywhere from $.99 to $9.99, depending on the number of elements included in the pack. (Incidentally, you dont have to use all of the elements together. Less is sooo much more, folks.)

To best use your new graphics for your blog, you would just create a new file just like you would a new scrapbook page. The program walks you through step by step and is a great resource for background patterns, designing your own banner, etc.

The Suite itself it fairly user friendly and after a few minutes exploring the workspace, you get the hang of adding and editing elements. There is plenty of help to get you started with a YouTube channel, blog and forum.

There is so much more you can do…greetings cards, CDs…check it out!

WIN IT! Want to try it for yourself? My Memories Suite is offering one lucky reader a software download for Mac or PC.
