Update: Please see the updated icon set here…it includes 6 more icons!
I love giving away stuff…in the form of giveaways, tutorials and fun little things you can use for your blog.
So today, how about some pretty, girlie social media buttons for your blog or website?
Download:
You can download this set of icons in png file format here.
How to Use:
The beauty of png files is that they can be easily modified by color, size, transparency, etc. So, the same Facebook file above can be modified in a photo editor like Photoshop or on PhotoBucket.com to look like this:
How to modify the color In Photoshop Elements:
1. Open the png file.
2. Go to Enhance>Adjust Color>Adjust Hue/Saturation. Use the sliders to change the hue, saturation and lightness.
3. Click Ok, then save the file.
…In Photoshop:
1. Upload the png file.
2. Go to Image>Adjustments>Hue/Saturation. Use the sliders to change the hue, saturation and lightness.
3. Click Ok, then save the file.
…On PhotoBucket.com:
1. Upload the png file.
2. In the album, hover over the image and select Edit. Then select Adjust and use the sliders to change the hue, saturation and lightness.
3. Click Done.
The default size of the icons is pretty large at 200x200px. That will give you plenty of wiggle room for sizing appropriately for your blog. Typically, an icon will be around 50x50px and you can resize in your photo editor or when you upload to your blogging platform.
Any questions? Speak up! And enjoy…

Thank you for sharing these! As a newbie blogger and new to twitter, I feel like I’m ready to add these to my site. Thanks so much!

Thank you for sharing these Nicole! You give the most practical freebies. You always seem to read my mind about what is next on my to-do list in the blogosphere.
I managed to get the image to photobucket and play with it but still need to do some work on learning to add buttons, etc. Hopefully, I will do some more of your tutorials soon and send you more specific questions then. Just wanted to let you know that your generosity is thoroughly appreciated!
P.S. This was my first time on photobucket- boy, does that open a whole ‘nother world of options!

Nicole,
Love these! I totally snatched them and modified the color for our website. Wondering if you’d be willing to create the same exact icons for other social media sites too? I’d like to hire you to do this for me. I’ll be sending you an email message, thanks!

Thank you so much. These social media icons have just the feminine touch I have been searching the web for. To those who want a nice cotton candy shade of pink, use Hue 126, Saturation 100, and Lightness -2.

Love these icons…have you ever added a pinterest icon with the elegant family.?
