UPDATE: The winner of this giveaway is #2, Chrysa!
There was a time when trying to get a decent Christmas picture of three boys at the same time was too much for this mommy to handle. I resigned myself to the fact that someone would be looking away, pinching someone else or picking their nose.
But now with the ability to leverage cell phone and video game privileges, its not half bad.
Oh, there might be a few to sift through to find that perfect shot…

But eventually there will be a few that work.
Once you recover from the circus that is taking your holiday pictures, the rest is a breeze with Snapfish. They have made the process of selecting, designing and ordering your holiday cards a snap. You simply browse thousands of designs, upload your images (or use any from your previously uploaded albums), write your greeting and checkout. The whole process took me 16 minutes from start to finish to come up with the card above. And if you need help, Snapfish is there with Live Chat and an excellent tutorial.
And this year, I am thrilled (…thrilled…) to get to offer my own designs to the Snapfish community. Here are a couple of the holiday designs in my Snapfish shop…

It’s difficult to say. I’m often a spontaneous photographer, and it’s the most random shots that make the best ones. So it could take anywhere from a minute to 30 minutes, depending on how long I plan to take pics.
[Reply]
I would say it takes at least 45 mins! With 3 little ones (this year 4) it should be fun!

We are taking ours next weekend. It normally takes about 10 times to get a regular pic

It usually takes a concerted effot to get my son to not cheese way too much for the picture!
[Reply]
Third time is the charm on photos! I’m also a fan of the burst setting on the camera, so that I can capture 15 pics in a few seconds, and we just keep twisting and posing and eventually one looks right.

I don’t know, I’m still trying. I can never get all of them to look decent at the same time. Plus, I have one kid that hates having her picture taken and make the entire process miserable.
[Reply]
I don’t think we ever get a perfect shot – we just end up picking one.

When we do a whole family picture (including my brother’s family), it takes probably 15-20 minutes. The kids usually do really good though (as long as they aren’t too tired
).
Thanks for the giveaway!

I would say it takes at least a 1/2 hour to get the perfect shot – or perfect enough to be able to send out to friends and family:)

About a half an hour, because the shot I feel like I want ends up being trumped by some spontaneous shot I never would’ve thought of!

Getting the actual shot takes about 30 minutes, any longer and the kids would go crazy, even that is pushing it.

Days! I can’t tell everyone they’re posing for a Christmas card, or the kids will just act goofy on purpose. I have to be sneaky about it, and it’s a long process, lol.
[Reply]
With 4 kids, it usually takes 10 or 15 minutes. The other day, I got a really good picture on the first shot! The only bad thing was my 10 year old had holes in the knees of her jeans. Oh well, everyone knows she’s really rough on her jeans

A couple of trys, usually not to bad!

I am still looking for that “perfect” shot. Last year I turned one shot black and white and it looked perfect, even though in color my toddler was bright red in the face screaming! In black and white it looked like he was laughing!

I am just about to do this! I need to gather the family to take the pictures for our holiday card… Hopefully it will not take too long! Maybe 20 minutes hopefully?
[Reply]
It takes forever. We still have yet to get a perfect shot, but we are constantly trying!
[Reply]
I take tons of pictures and never quite get the perfect shot for the holiday cards…..getting both boys to not make silly faces or close their eyes, or keep their hands off each other is almost impossible! I usually get one that is OK, but far from perfect.

Since my children were older it only took me maybe 5 minutes but now that we have a new baby this year I’m guessing that it may take up to and hour or even have to be attempted on several different days until I get the perfect one.
